about

This is Rural Savage's debut record. We recorded it in 3 days in the Old Forge in Galway city. It was co-funded by Pearse Doherty, the bass player of the Saw Doctor's and by my father. If you listen closely to the end of "Alcohol" you can hear my father singing along with the others.

We did the drums the first day, all the guitars the second day and vocals on the third day. I don't remember many takes of any of them. It was kind of set up, hit record and blast off.

It was recorded by Dave Phelan who now works with Brian Ferry I think.
Keego later mixed it.

I can't remember anything else really interesting to say about it.
I was going through a break up at the time so was kind of depressed.
I think it's a pretty good record.

Enjoy.

about

Farren Jecky

Rural Savage was my first band. Otto & the Dix was the side project. Farren albums are just bedroom nonsense. Currently starting the next phase.
